It needs to be understood that HP Lovecraft did not actually complete these stories, but that his freind and collegue August Derleth did. To be clear, August Derleth wrote these stories based on ideas that were put to paper by his friend HP Lovecraft. I do beleive the publishers of this copy were being willfully deceptive by making Derleth's credit so small. Derleth is a renown author himself and the post-Lovecraft development of the Cthulu mythos is lucky to have gotten his hard work.
